Novant Health is seeking an experienced Bariatric Advanced Practice Provider to join a growing Bariatric program of 5 providers, 2 dieticians and 2 behavioral therapists in Kernersville, NC. Our clinic offers a multidimensional approach for lifelong weight control by providing patients nutritional, psychological and exercise education along with support throughout each stage of our patient’s weight loss journey. We are looking for a patient-focused, compassionate, caring, and honest provider to assist in the surgical and medical management of obesity. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys a care team approach, educating patients and is committed to the health and wellness of not only our patients but the communities from which they come. Our program focuses on patient care as well as team member care. Our team supports each other and welcomes personal and professional growth. We are looking for a provider who wants to grow and bring creative and innovative ways to care for our patients and grow our program. This position is M-F from 8-5. Experience with surgical assist, bariatric surgery, bariatrics/weight loss and/or family medicine preferred. RNFA certification required for NP's or ability to obtain by 12/31/2024.

Education: Master's Degree required. Either a graduate of an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program, or NP or post Master’s NP program required.
Experience: One year of experience in surgery rpreferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current PA or NP license in appropriate state required. NCCPA or registery with state nursing board, ACLS, DEA registry required. RNFA certification required for NP's.
Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and depart-specific skills validation and competency testing; Thorough knowledge of diagnosis, and pharmacology; Thorough skill in physical assessment and management of chronic illness; Communication skills, both verbal and written; general computer knowledge is preferred; ability to work independently, yet in collaboration when necessary. Ability to use problem-solving, decision making, creative and communication skills. Dedicated to patient rehabilitation and self-care.
