Novant Health Medical Group is looking for a Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider to join an established, growing team of 8 physicians and 6 APPs to provide care our patients under the direction of inpatient care providers in Bolivia, NC. This role is a Lead APP position that will work alongside our Physicians seeing patients and managing our department. The Lead APP must be able to work autonomously, have strong communication skills, flexibility, work well under pressure, and adapt quickly to changes as they arise. The ideal provider would have experience with admissions and cross coverage. Expected to work 7 shifts in a 2 week pay period (12-hour shifts). We are looking for a provider who has a commitment to patient care, competent to identify emergent situations and provide appropriate care, as part of a team providing overnight care. Our expert clinicians provide the latest best practice as hospitalists of treatment options for a wide variety of specialties – from General Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonary, GI, Neurology, Nephrology and more, our team of well-rounded clinicians are the attending for all. No call required. Experience in acute care required.

Education: Master's Degree required. Either a graduate of an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program, or NP or post Master’s NP program required.
Experience: One to three years experience in acute care preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current PA or NP license in appropriate state required. NCCPA or registry with state nursing board, BLS, DEA registry required.
Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and depart-specific skills validation and competency testing; Thorough knowledge of diagnosis, and pharmacology; Thorough skill in physical assessment and management of chronic illness; Communication skills, both verbal and written; general computer knowledge is preferred; ability to work independently, yet in collaboration when necessary. Ability to use problem-solving, decision making, creative and communication skills. Dedicated to patient rehabilitation and self-care.
