Job Summary

Novant Health Medical Group, the largest multi-specialty group in the area, is seeking a full time Plastic Surgeon to join our Maxillofacial and Reconstructive Surgery practice.  The practice currently includes 2 maxillofacial surgeons and 1 head and neck oncology surgeon, all with microsurgical training.  This is an exciting opportunity to help develop and expand the scope of services offered in Southeastern North Carolina. 

 

The clinical area of focus for this position is reconstructive surgery including but not limited to:

  • breast reconstruction, implant and microsurgical
  • extremity reconstruction
  • general oncologic reconstruction
  • trauma surgery (hand)

Only candidates who have finished or will be completing an ACGME accredited residency in plastic surgery may apply and these candidates must be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or in the process of seeking certification.

 

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, team-oriented and have the ability to interact well with colleagues, other specialties and staff.  Clinical experience is an asset.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine required
  • Completion of an accredited residency program required
  • For specialty physicians - completion of an accredited fellowship program specific to medical specialty

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Current MD license in appropriate state
  • Board certification or eligibility
  • Current DEA license required
