Job Summary

Novant Health/Coastal Family Medicine Osteopathic Faculty Position

 

The Novant Health- New Hanover Regional Medical Center Residency in Family Medicine in Wilmington, North Carolina is seeking an osteopathic family physician to join our faculty.  We are a fully accredited 6-6-6 community program with osteopathic recognition. Our program is affiliated with the Department of Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill located in Wilmington, NC, a rapidly growing coastal vacation community.  Qualified applicants should hold a DO degree and board certification in Family Medicine.  Previous residency teaching and/or private practice experience preferred but not required.  Duties include teaching residents and students, patient care including hospital care and low risk OB, teaching and practicing osteopathic principles, administration, and research. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine required
  • Completion of an accredited residency program required
  • For specialty physicians - completion of an accredited fellowship program specific to medical specialty

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Current MD or DO license in appropriate state
  • Board certification or eligibility
  • Current DEA license required
