Novant Health Medical Group is looking for a compassionate and experienced Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider to join an established, growing team of 40 physicians and 4 APPs to provide care our patients under the direction of inpatient physicians in Wilmington, NC. The ideal provider would have experience with admissions, be flexible and able to work weekends and nights (11 hour shifts). We are looking for a provider who has a a commitment to patient care, who is comfortable working independently while being able to identify emergent situations and provide appropriate care. Be a part of a small team of providers providing overnight care to many patients responding to codes and providing cross coverage. The chosen provider will need to enjoy teaching and helping other staff since this position allows the opportunity to teach other medical staff. Our expert clinicians provide the latest best practice as hospitalists of treatment options for a wide variety of specialties – from General Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonary, GI, Neurology, Nephrology and more, our team of well-rounded clinicians are the attending for all. No call required. Schedule: 7 on 7 off/ nights only 8pm-7am. Experience in acute care required. Position offers a signing bonus/relocation allowance.

Education: Master's Degree required. Graduate of a NP or post Master’s NP program required. ACNP Preferred
Experience: One to three years acute care experience required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current PA or NP license in appropriate state required. NCCPA or registry with state nursing board, ACLS, BLS, DEA registry required.
Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and depart-specific skills validation and competency testing; Thorough knowledge of diagnosis, and pharmacology; Thorough skill in physical assessment and management of chronic illness; Communication skills, both verbal and written; general computer knowledge is preferred; ability to work independently, yet in collaboration when necessary. Ability to use problem-solving, decision making, creative and communication skills. Dedicated to patient rehabilitation and self-care.
