Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, NNP

  • Schedule: 24 hour shifts, Full Time  
  • Department: NICU, Level 2 Special Care Nursery, Level 4 NICU, and Well Newborns
  • Location: Charlotte, NC

Qualifications

Education:  Graduate Degree required. Graduate of Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program; M.S.in Nursing or Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant Program; Masters of Medical Science.

Experience: Minimum of two yrs in high risk neonatal care exp required

Licensure/Certification/Registration: RN license currently licensed in NC, approved to practice as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in NC By Board of Nursing and NC Board of Medical Examiners; Certified by NCC;OR currently licensed by NC Board of Medical Examiners as a Physician Assistant; Certified by NCCPA required.

Additional Skills Required: Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

Additional Skills Preferred: Physical requirements: Stand and move around majority of the day; climb (to reach patient care equipment); lift patients and equipment; push/pull wheelchairs, carts and beds; sit occasionally; bend and stoop; manual dexterity; run; negotiate stairs; see, hear, speak, smell, and touch.
